Start with one cell.
A cell is the smallest unit of thought. A Log keeps cells about the same subject together, while Scratch accepts anything before you decide where it belongs.
Why do people leave during onboarding?
The third step asks for too much before users see the result.
How to use it
- 01
Write in Scratch first
Capture the thought before deciding how to organize it.
- 02
Add just enough structure
Use tags, links, related-cell gathering, AI improvement, pins, and voice only when the thought needs them.
- 03
Move or archive it
Place it in the right Log, or archive it when it is ready to become source material.
What each option does
- Tag
- Add tags yourself, or use Auto-tagging to let AI label the cell. Shared tags make cells easier for you and your Vots to find.
- Cell link
- Drag the cell icon at the top left onto another cell, then choose a related or causal link.
- Gather related cells
- Find thoughts related to the current cell, gather them nearby, and highlight the group briefly.
- Cell highlight
- Mark the cells that should stand out inside a Log.
- Pin
- Keep the current cell fixed beside the Log while moving through the other cells for reference.
- Improve cell content with AI
- Ask AI to revise the whole cell or selected text, review the diff, then apply it.
- Voice
- Record a thought when speaking is faster than typing.
- Archive
- Archive a complete thought and use it as source material for a Wiki.
- Delete cell
- Move the cell to Trash, where it can be restored for seven days.
Formatting appears as you type.
Type a Markdown marker at the start of a line and press Space. The cell turns it into editable rich text immediately.

- Adds Logs for the Sim to reference while it runs.
- Branches per step
- Sets how many branches each step creates.
- Choosing the next step
- Choose the next branch yourself, or let the Sim choose by your criteria.
- Direction for the next step
- Tells the next step how the branches should develop. Automatic direction is unavailable when the Sim runs through Claude on your computer.
- Goal (optional)
- Stops the run when the path reaches the outcome you described.
- Sim model
- Choose a cloud model or Claude on your connected computer. Your computer and the agent must stay running for local Sims.

Publish your Vot
Open Publish to Hub from the Vot editor, then set its introduction, tags, and monthly price. When someone subscribes, you receive a share of the fee as credits.

Subscribe to the Vot you need
Find a Vot in the Hub with the perspective or expertise your work needs.
- 03
Call it from your own work
Subscribed Vots appear in your Vot list. Mention one with @ from any Log to think together.
What each option does
- Listing title
- Names the Vot on its Hub card and detail page.
- Description
- Explains what the Vot does and how subscribers can use it.
- Tags
- Helps people discover the Vot by topic.
- Monthly price (credits)
- Sets the monthly subscription price in credits. Part of each subscription is credited to the creator.
- Link info subscribers collect through the vot to its knowledge
- Controls whether information subscribers collect through the Vot is added to its knowledge. When off, subscribers cannot use collection tools.
- Live subscription
- Subscribers chat with the original Vot maintained by its creator, not a copy. Its prompt and memory are not shown directly, though conversation can reveal parts of them, and subscribers cannot run work on the creator's computer.
Publish a finished Sim and let others continue it.
Set the public scope, add a title, summary, and tags, then publish the Sim to the Hub and a public page. If continuations are allowed, readers can take any point into their own Sim and keep exploring.

Choose the branches to publish
The whole tree is public by default. Exclude a branch on the canvas to leave it and everything below it out.

Check the introduction and scope
Add a title, summary, and tags, then use the preview to confirm which branches and endings will be public.

Publish and share the link
Published Sims appear in the Hub. Copy the public-page link to share them with people who do not use evot.io.
What each option does
- What goes public
- The finished tree is public by default. Branches excluded on the canvas and branches still running are left out.
- Publish reference logs too
- This is off by default. Turning it on publishes the selected logs’ cell contents as-is, including archived cells.
- Continuations
- When allowed, readers can take any point into their own Sim and continue it. The creator earns 1 credit each time someone does.
- Title
- Set the Sim title shown on its Hub card and public page.
- Summary
- Introduce what the Sim explores. AI can draft this for you.
- Tags
- Add tags that describe the topic, or let AI suggest suitable ones.
Turn finished thoughts into a Wiki and share it.
Shape archived cells into a readable document, then publish the finished Wiki to the Hub or share it by link.
